The St Croix Cubs were treated to a visit by the Bluewater Bay Sector Policing unit on Friday 11th February.

Jane Jardine and Willem van der Merwe visited a regular St Croix Cub Pack meeting to discuss with the children the purpose of Sector Policing with the children.  Jane discussed personal safety with the cubs and how Sector Policing assisted the community in cases of emergency.

Willem showed the children a number of photographs taken at the scene of various emergencies that the Sector Policing Unit had been in attendance at.

The children were then showed the various items of equipment with which the vehicle was equipped from a torch with an extremely strong light to the cones that are used to demarcate areas around accident scenes.

Afterwards the children all climbed into the back of the Sector Policing bakkie to pose for the attached photograph.  The bakkie is kindly sponsored by General Motors to assist the community of Bluewater Bay and surrounds.
