The Scout Walk part of Bay to Bay 2010 was focused on people with disabilities in an effort to raise awareness. Awareness about disabilities is part and parcel of the Scout training program.
The Volunteer Centre offers youth of South Africa to participate in a Youth Exchange Programme that will a life changing experience. 
Scouts in South Africa have always been open to children from all cultural backgrounds. Since 1994 many of these cultures are now recognised as official communication channels and now we can wish everyone a Merry Christmas in their home language! 
Scouting in South Africa (and worldwide) is an interdenominational and intercultural organisation and Scouts are encouraged to learn more about each others traditions. On the Christian calendar Christmas is most probably the biggest celebration worldwide. (Slideshows
