"Waka Waka" has been made popular by Shakira for the Fifa World Cup in South Africa. BUT "Waka, Waka" has also been the accepted greeting for Scouts on the recently held HALP (Habiter Autrement la Planete) (alternative living on our planet) Jamboree on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, which came to an end on 7 August.
